Outdoor activities at our hotel near Huntington Beach

Surf’s up in HB. And it’s been that way here for over a century. Because even though we can thank the Hawaiians for surfing, modern surf culture was born right here in sunny SoCal — and HB supplied much of the stoke. There’s the storied Huntington Beach Pier (we’re the closest resort in the world to it). The pros and locals who have shredded here for decades. And, of course, the superb swells that freight-train 100 yards from our front door with epic regularity. That’s not to say you have to be Kelly or Laird to ride here. Think of us as Disneyland for the board shorts set: There’s a ride for everyone and you’re sure to have a blast.

But you don’t have to be a surfer to enjoy our pristine beaches and other outdoor activities, from hiking and horseback riding to biking and bonfire chilling.
